Even though your special day is all about you and your partner, it’s also about your guests. Are you dreaming of having your ceremony off the beaten path from traditional location? Before you commit to an ‘I-do’, weigh the pluses and minuses of unique wedding locations.

Log on to museumsusa.org for a comprehensive directory of museums, including many lesser-known institutions. And visit uniquevenues.com, which lists creative spots, such as theaters and universities. If you are thinking of holding your event outside, remember to keep Mother Nature in mind.
