Vintage Wedding Dress Wedding Dress Modernization

And the Bride Wore …

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

Perhaps nothing says ‘wedding’ quite so definitely as a white bridal gown and veil – for many this is the signature element of their wedding day.  Despite its associations, the pure white wedding gown was a fashion begun by Queen Victoria at her 1840 wedding.  The fashion caught on and held.

Whether your tastes are simple or off-beat, it is difficult to resist the lure of a wedding dress as an expression of your true self, your dream self or some wonderful combination of both.  Your wedding day is one of the few times in your life when you can give your imagination free rein – and find everyone will applaud your efforts.

Personal tastes aside, Your wedding gown should also reflect the style of your wedding.  Day or evening, formal or casual beach-side, should be taken into consideration.

Above all, choose something that is becoming to you.  Wedding portraits are probably the most looked-at photographs during any one’s lifetime.  Your bridal gown should make you look lovely and feel absolutely radiant on your special day.
